ABOUT JOE

Joe Power is a Liverpool born medium with media appearances including the TV series Psychic Investigators, Chat its fate magazine, America’s Mike Walker Show KABC radio and MTV live in Canada.

Joe is renowned as the medium who brought through the voice of John Lennon on US TV show The Spirit of John Lennon.

POWERFUL AURA

Joe Power is a multi-talented man. Not only is he a medium and a psychic, he can also tap into a persons ‘auric field’.

The human aura is an energy field that reflects the subtle life energies within the body, and it changes colour with your moods, feelings, and spiritual condition. Mine was no doubt a tad jaded after the amount of red wine I’d drunk the previous evening, and I was sceptical at first about whether anyone could detect my aura over the telephone…but I like to remain open minded about these things, and Joe seemed like a really lovely guy, so I gave him a call.

Auric Fields

Joe explained that our auric fields change all the time, and that what he was picking up on as we spoke was my current state of mind, and the thoughts I was having at the time. This field changes with illness, and mood swings (well I was probably suffering a bout of PMT but was otherwise fine.) He did tell me that there was a lot of green in my aura, meaning I’m healthy (When seen in the aura, green usually represents growth and balance, and most of all, change. A lot of green can indicate a love of people, animals and nature, too.)

Joe PowerThe reading

He launched into the reading after we exchanged a few pleasantries, and picked up straight away that I was, or have been debating a move of some sort. This, he said, would be happening soon. His next observation was a connection with a university. Was I at or connected to a university at all? Not that I’m aware of, unless you count working in Cambridge! Joe said he could see some sort of connection though, and suggested that I might be going off to study in the future.

Work wise, he said that he could tell I was going through a period of confusion. He reassured me that this confusion will be resolved within the next six months, in fact within the next few years I could be moving on from the world of work altogether! That pleased me greatly (as it would) but when he carried on to predict that I was going to be pregnant in the next few years and that he saw me with a little blonde girl and boy – possibly twins – I thought that maybe my dreams of winning the lottery could have been a bit off the mark and that he was actually predicting that I swap timesheets for nappies. Not quite so glamorous…Twins!?

He went straight for the big one by telling me that Canada was featuring very strongly in my thoughts, and he suggested that maybe I had a relative there? Well, yes, albeit very distant, but Canada is the place I fell in love with in 2005, and have been dreaming about emigrating to ever since. Joe predicted that I'd be moving there in the next few years (although he didn’t think it would happen soon, as it didn’t feel right for me.) This move would be good for me, and help me achieve some sort of settlement and peace of mind.

Medium

While he was reading my aura, Joe also told me that he was being visited by my late grandfather (he mentioned him by first name) who said hello, and to tell me that he’s the one who watches over me…my response was “That doesn’t surprise me!” and to say hello back to him. He didn’t hang around for long.Banff Canada

Joe finished off by saying that he saw yellow in my aura too, which indicated to him that although I’ve been going through a confusing time in my life, the sunshine was going to be coming back through.

Although this was a short, light-hearted reading, and I was sceptical (but that’s just me) he did get enough right for me to think there was maybe something in it. I have had psychic readings before, and I’m one of those people who will believe what she’s told…if I like the sound of it. Otherwise I just think it’s made up! The previous person told me last October that I’d be moving to a two-bedroom house in March-April this year. At the time we were looking for a three bedroom place and the house had been on the market for six months already. Lo and behold, we ended up in a two bedroom place, and moved in April. Lucky guess? Who knows.

Bad press

Joe does seem to get a bit of a bad press online – he’s claimed to have assisted with high-profile murder investigations (Lynsey Quy and Sally Anne Bowman being just two) and although it’s recorded that he’s made statements to the police in at least one of those cases, there’s no definitive proof that he actually helped find any of the killers. But because he told me nice things, I’m inclined to stay open-minded! Mind you, I’m sure there are a lot of people who have a late grandfather called Frank, and there must be a whole lot of people who would admit to being fed up with their job.

I was impressed that he knew about Canada, and looking back, although he didn’t get the reason right, he could have picked just about any country for me to have on my mind  – I have family in Australia and have been thinking about holidays abroad recently too. I was trying to think about where he got it completely wrong – he did come up with the names ‘Jack or John’ which meant nothing to me. Maybe he did ‘cold read’ me – but it was all done over the phone so it would have been harder for him to judge my reactions to his suggestions.

Either way, I liked Joe, and I like the idea of my dear old granddad watching over me (except when I’m doing something he’d disapprove of) so I’m inclined to put the predictions down to ‘wait and see’. And I’ll let you know if I do fall pregnant…with twins…when I've picked myself up off of the floor...
