Scorecard – How to fix your man in one year or less by Julie Bell, Donna Brown and Judith Newman

This book is written essential as a manual which will ‘provide every woman with the strategy, support and encouragement to identify what she deserves – and to insist on getting it’. Apparently the women writing it had problem marriages so they kicked their husbands out. These unfortunate men were only allowed back into the house if they fulfilled a checklist of requirements.
My initial reaction – get real ladies! was borne out by this book. For a start these are women who had the luxury of high enough salaries to support themselves financially – how many of us can say that? And they never tackle the issue that perhaps they were probably not perfect either.
The book covers lots of issues however, from domestic laziness to problems in the bedroom. But part of me kept wondering how many men would in reality shape up to all these ideals. This is very much the authors trying to apply the project management approach to relationships, which are far more complex. In many ways it reminded me of those awful American style training events I’ve been made to go on!
