CHANGE YOUR LIFE IN 30 DAYS - WEEK THREE
Create healthy habits and fill your 'life tanks' of money, space, time and energy with activities that boost your tanks rather than constantly drain them.
Create 35 baby steps(5 babysteps per day for the next 7 days) using the weekly plan below for inspiration.
Day 15: Fill Your Life Tanks. If you can’t remember when you last took a holiday, are constantly worried about money and drink a bucketful of coffee a day to keep you going – then your ‘life tanks’ are probably empty. And it is often difficult to set goals and stick to them until you start filling those tanks.
Over the next 7 days, select a ‘tank’ of time, energy or space to work on and find three ways of filling it to overbrimming and put a system in place to make sure it stays that way. For example – if you want to fill your energy tank– cancel all social arrangements for the next 7 days and go to bed before 10pm every night. Then commit to always having three early nights a week from then on.
Day 16: Start listening to your intuition. You don’t need an expert to tell you what you need to do - you have all the answers. Trust that you have the wisdom inside to create the changes in your life that you want. Sit quietly, ask the question you want the answer to, and then just wait for the answer. After 15 minutes, write down any answers that have popped into your head.
Day 17: Money talks. If you were to save £100 a week/earn an extra £100 a week – how could you do it? Today work out three ways that will enable you to have a reserve of cash in your savings account in 30 days. From moonlighting to spending an evening in the bath rather than the bar – be creative! Write down a list of your talents that you could make extra cash from or look at what you can sell. Could you work in a bar at the weekend for a month, have a car boot sale, sell your used books on www.amazon.co.uk or sell your old Beano annuals on the internet auction site www.ebay.com?
Day 18: Have a play day: Write down a list of four friends who really know how to have fun. Schedule a play date with each one, which incorporates some kind of activity that will help you reach your goal - have lunch with your WSMSG, plan a day shopping for marathon-worthy trainers, invite the mentor with the best sense of humour for an exquisitely healthy lunch.
Day 19: Make your relationship blossom. Learning together is a great way to grow closer. Enroll in a class together - be it scuba-diving, teach yourself chess or couples yoga. If you're single, throw a dinner party ask all your single friends to bring along an available, single man who they don't fancy and have a free-for-all!
Day 20: Day Off!
Day 21: Create and use 3 delicious daily habits. A daily routine will keep you focussed, clear and motivated and moving forward. Commit to doing 3 things each day that make your life feel healthier and happier. Pick the things you really want to do, not the ones that you think should. Schedule them into your diary and put them as your daily number one priority whether that be a candle lit bath or a daily dance around the living room to heavy metal music.
