Are you a bit stuck for ideas for your Mum this Mother’s Day? Hallmark Cards and high street jeweller Beaverbrooks have something to put a big grin on her face - they've teamed up to create a fabulously decadent Mother’s Day card – an exclusive one-of-a-kind card featuring a one-carat diamond, which is being auctioned for charity.

The card has been created as part of Hallmark’s ‘Cards for a Cure™’ campaign that will see the company contribute £250,000 to two breast cancer charities, Breast Cancer Campaign and Action Breast Cancer.

Designed exclusively by Hallmark’s chief designers and incorporating a beeeyoootiful £5,000 diamond donated by Beaverbrooks, Hallmark is hoping that the one-off bespoke card will raise money to further fund essential research into finding the cure for breast cancer – a disease that affects 1 in 9 women in the UK. The card will be auctioned via telephone bids from 27 to 29 February with the highest bidder receiving it in time to give to their special Mum on Mother’s Day, Sunday 2 March 2008. Beaverbrooks will alsoset the diamond into a piece of jewellery after the auction.  

Lisa Maxwell, The Bill’s DC Sam Nixon, is a long-term supporter of Breast Cancer Campaign. She said:
