Join the Bra Amnesty and raise money for charity...

Upliftedlingerie.co.uk, a website specialising in bras for those curvy babes among us, and catering for size D-L, is calling for women throughout the UK to send them their unwanted bras during Lent - 21 February to 7 April - to be distributed to homeless women, with the help of national charity Crisis.

Giving up chocolate or Chardonnay for Lent is so 2006 - so why not donate a bra to charity instead? As an added incentive you'll get a 15% discount from the site, so you could even treat yourself to a new over the shoulder boulder holder after Lent!

To get involved with the bra amnesty, simply package up your unwanted bras, any size and style, including nursing bras and maternity. Just make sure they are clean, then send them to arrive no later than 7th April, together with your name and email address to

“We recently carried out a survey which concluded that over 50% of women in the UK own between 10-15 bras, yet just a third of women wear all of them, and 15% wear only one or two! As there are plenty of unused bras out there, we decided to partner with national charity Crisis to put all these bras to good use."
