nostalgia central
OK, so maybe I'm just getting old, but I love a bit of nostalgia, and I have to admit that when left to my own devices, I'm more likely to be found flicking between the '100 best eighties number ones' and 'Forgotten gems of the nineties' channels on music TV than I am the new music channels.
Alarmingly, I have also been heard to say all three of the statements below:
1. "I remember the original of that song and it was much better"
2. "It all sounds the same to me."
3. "That's just noise."
I'm sure my parents used to say the same and I used to look at them with abject disgust. Anyway, I'm actually typing this as I listen to my 'Nineties Dance' playlist on iTunes so I think I'm a lost cause! I've found a fantastic website that's ideal for anyone, like myself, who is secretly a bit addicted to nostalgia, who watched 'Ashes to Ashes' for a bit of a reminisce at the fashion and music more than the plot line...
