GOING OUT CLUBBING - Gina Edwards interviews Adam Kashin, creator of outclubbing.com.

Jonathan Swift once said ‘the most positive men are the most credulous.’ Adam Kashin’s head for business; his cool, collected manner and his straight talking – not to mention his passion for life - blows Swift’s belief clean out of the water.

Positive? Yes. Credulous and gullible? Not a bit of it. The creator of Outclubbing.com is a shining example of youthful confidence – well, he’s only 20 - but he’s also streetwise.

His business knowledge and unshakeable self belief make Adam one in a million, and a great role model for following your dreams. In 2005 he walked away from a degree at Imperial College London to take a year’s sabbatical and ended up embarking on a whole new life, and creating a fab new website at the same time.

A combination of market research, passion, hard work and dedication saw the birth of www.outclubbing.com, a UK Nightlife resource. Inspired by a variety of other websites, only providing ‘limited and regional information on venues’ Adam designed a site that gives everyone access to information about the latest events and clubs in any town they want to paint red.

Outclubbing.com gives users up to date information on the UK’s bar and club scene. Adam designed it as a resource for club and bar owners to advertise their venue as well as providing a service for people who live for the weekend!

When I met Adam, I was spellbound by his passion and lust for life. His personality is as lively and as colourful as the clubs his websites promotes. As he smiled a cheeky smile and indulged in an ice-cold cider in the sunshine, he explained that he had a big ‘night-out-on-the-town’ ahead of him. It soon became clear to see where the drive for his entrepreneurial venture stems from…

Adam says;

“There is no other website with such a vast array of information on local clubs and bars. It supplies event information for club across the country with information on the clientele, dress code, job vacancies, statistics and even photos of the interior. This gives you a great insight into a venue and makes you feel like you have almost been there before”.

What a wonderful way to avoid that sinking feeling of wandering into a crowded bar and realising that you are horribly under or (worse still) hugely over dressed for the occasion…

His enthusiasm for London’s nightlife also spilled over into his time at university, where he was voted in as social secretary. After organising the most profitable Fresher’s week on record Adam could clearly see that his destiny lay in his passion, and he decided to make it his career. Adam’s real desire is to own his own nightclub, and he says that Outclubbing.com is a stepping-stone towards this ultimate goal. The valuable knowledge he has gained from outclubbing.com will no doubt guarantee him a sparkling future.

Adam hopes that Outclubbing.com will become a household name in the UK – and maybe even in years to come - the world. There seems to be no end to Adams positive attitude and the goals he wishes to achieve.
