YOUR TICKET TO SPA HEAVEN

Does the gloom of the constant rain make you long for something invigorating and inspiring to do? Have you got anything planned for November, when it's going to get EVEN WETTER?

You can escape the doom and gloom later in the year and treat yourself to a day out at the Spa Show 2007 to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul before the party season kicks in.

The event will showcase the largest and hottest collection of spa treatments and spa destinations from around the world and will give you a sneak preview of the latest innovative treatments being offered. This year’s theme is ‘One Big Day Spa’, reflecting the wide range of treatments both new and popular that are available for show visitors to sample.

Whether you are a spa aficionado or a virgin spa goer, The Spa Show is your gateway to pampering paradise. The show is the ultimate event for everyone interested in finding that unique spa hotel, spa holidays, or spa along with learning more about healthy living and holistic therapies to calm or invigorate the mind. Or maybe come to the show and find your perfect honeymoon destination from remote retreats to idyllic islands. With such a varied range of exhibitors there’s something to suit everyone’s taste and budget.

The highlights this year are definitely not to be missed. Why not try a therapy in the show’s tranquil feature area, taking you on a relaxing journey of discovery or awaken your senses with Reflexology, Chinese Massage, Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture.  Or perhaps sample the sumptuous delicacies on offer in spa cuisine to promote a healthier lifestyle.

Amongst other treatments on offer are:

Shiatsu Treatment

Try a Shiatsu Treatment from the Shiatsu Society, a relaxing treatment that can be beneficial for back pain, stress, headaches, whiplash injuries, neck stiffness, joint pain and many sports injuries amongst other ailments. It is unique in that the client remains fully clothed at all times and it uses few techniques, merely a still, relaxed pressure at various points on the body with the hand or thumb, an easy leaning of the elbows or a simple rotation of a limb. But underneath the uncomplicated movements much is happening internally to the body's energy on a subtle level, helping to ward off la stoneillness and maintain good health. Book your treatment at the Shiatsu stand.

Ayurvedic Therapy

Ayurveda is the name given to the ancient Indian science of life and is said to have originated 4000 years ago - it is believed to be the oldest health system known to man today. Rather than treating symptoms, it treats the whole person, working holistically, combining nutrition, herbal remedies, yoga and massage.  At the Show you can experience the Shirodhara treatment (third eye drip) for yourself.

LaStone Therapy

LaStone Therapy uses hot and cold stones to treat clients. LaStone has extensive experience in working with extreme temperature ranges and the stones energies.  The range of treatments provided at the Show will include: Original Body Stone Sole, Crystal Light Therapy, Simply Face and Deep Stone Therapy.
