“If consumers just simplified one or two of their behaviours – like looking online for birthday presents, the latest dress or even items for the home – they would cut out the things they find most stressful: queuing, crowds and wasting time.

It also means the trips they do make to the high street are much more likely to be for pleasure.”

OPEN THE DOOR TO STRESS FREE SHOPPING!

A survey has recently revealed what most of us probably already know -  that time is one of our most precious resources.

The survey found that a staggering 60% of the UK population would give up junk food, just to have a three-day weekend. Psychologist Dr. Linda Papadopoulos, comments: “Junk food and alcohol are all about indulgence; the fact that people are willing to give up such tempting treats, which indeed can be addictive, shows how desperately they feel the need for extra quality leisure time.”

Actress, screenwriter and journalist Emily Mortimer, agrees; “If I had any spare time I'd probably spend it worrying about how not to waste it!”

I don’t know about you, but I hardly ever get the time just to mung around the shops these days. It takes me ages to get around to ‘just popping into the town’ to get anything, and as a result I buy an awful lot of things online.

A new website, called Doorone.co.uk launches on 27 September and brings together online shopping for just about everything…in one place. A bit like an online version of the Trafford Centre or Bluewater, you can find just about anything on there.  The DoorOne mission is to save shoppers time and money by making online shopping simple – offering  time saving features, price comparisons and  a comprehensive set of products from all across the Web at one location – so online shoppers can quickly and easily find their favourite products and brands.

Shannon Clouston, Chief Shopper says; “If consumers just simplified one or two of their behaviours – like looking online for birthday presents, the latest dress or even items for the home – they would cut out the things they find most stressful: queuing, crowds and wasting time. It also means the trips they do make to the high street are much more likely to be for pleasure.”

The only thing you can’t do on DoorOne is put your feet up with a Caramel Macchiato and do a bit of people watching!
