THE ECO SPA

Nestled deep in the heart of the gorgeous Colne Valley, at the foot hills of the Pennines, is the UK’s first eco-friendly spa. The brand spanking new spa, which only opened in March 2006, offers a new concept in spa that combines nature’s purest elements with the latest scientific technologies.

Titanic is elegantly designed within a traditional textile mill and offers its guests a stylish and therapeutic environment in which to allow the body and mind to relax, recuperate and rejuvenate. The name comes from, you guessed it, the ship, which was built in the same year as the mill.

Fabulously decadent Italian wood and contemporary furnishings mix with original mill features and traditional Yorkshire stone to give the overall effect of style, elegance and warmth. Added to this is the spa’s own natural water source which brings purity to the pools and hydrotherapy treatments.

Treatments and packages

Try the Titanic Heat Experience : based on the ritual of bathing, the body is heated and then cooled by a series of experiences involving a crystal steam bath, aromatherapy vapours, steam infusions, foot baths and crushed ice with the aim of inducing deep relaxation.

Or visit the Mud Chamber : inspired by Ancient Egyptian bathing, organic mud is applied to the skin to exfoliate and nourish, before being washed away with a tropical rain shower.

Titanic Spa Signature Packages all have their own particular benefit and use organic ingredients and expert therapists. Choose from the Titanic Tonic which cleanses and refreshes both body and mind, A Taste of Titanic where you are cocooned in aromatic oils, Titanic Duo, a special way to spend time with a friend or loved one and the Titanic Twilight Heat Experience for an evening out like no other...liking the sound of that.

Contemporary look

Twenty spacious and contemporary designed treatment rooms give guests the choice of contemporary treatments, all designed to suit the individual. A selection of alternative therapies also awaits. From Caviar facials to a Moroccan Cocoon Wrap and Chakra Massage, everyone will find something they fancy, safe in the knowledge that the spa they are kicking back in is eco-friendly.

The Titanic Spa has three self-contained scenic apartments which sleep up to four guests each with their own balcony and panoramic views. Girly sleep overs! With facials done by professionals!

How much?

Titanic Spa has also partnered with two local hotels Pennine Manor Hotel and Cedar Court Hotel to offer alternative accommodation with bed and breakfast rates starting from £65. Overnight packages include B&B accommodation, entry to the Titanic Heat Experience, two treatments, two course lunch in the Bistro and use of the leisure facilities and prices start from £175 for one guest and £285 for two guests.
